Working principle
The six-way reversing valve mainly consists of the valve body, sealing assembly, cam, stem, handle and bonnet and other components (Figure 1). The valve is driven by the handle, which drives the stem and cams to rotate, and the cams have the function of positioning drive and locking the seal assembly open and closed. When the handle is rotated counterclockwise, the two sets of sealing components close the two channels at the lower end and the two channels at the upper end respectively with the inlet of the piping unit under the action of the cam. Conversely, the two channels at the upper end are closed and the two channels at the lower end are connected to the inlet of the pipework unit, enabling non-stop reversal.
(1) The valve body of the six-way valve is divided into two chambers by a spacer, each with three channels, with the oil inlet in the middle and the oil outlet at both ends. The valve body is a carbon steel plate welded structure, small in size, light in mass and compact in structure, improving the utilisation of materials, shortening the production cycle and reducing costs. The sealing surface is overlaid with stainless steel to prevent rust, and the sealing surface is polished and ground after finishing with a surface roughness of Ra≤0.8μm.
(2) The six-way valve has two groups of sealing components. Each group of sealing components (Figure 2) consists of valve flap, sealing ring, adjusting block, adjusting screws, clamping plate and bolts. The valve flap is a carbon steel plate welded parts, with tendons, that is, to increase the strength of the valve flap and play a guiding role to ensure that the coaxiality between each group of valve flaps. The valve flap is inlaid with polyurethane rubber ring, which has the characteristics of oil resistance, good damage sealing and long service life. Under the action of the cam, the spherical surface of the sealing ring comes into contact with the sealing surface of the valve body to produce an extruded elastic deformation to achieve a sealing effect. The adjusting block and adjusting screw play an adjusting role when the two sets of sealing components cannot be synchronised in place, ensuring that the sealing performance of each channel is synchronised in place.
