PI controller parameter self-tuning with special characteristics Equipped with a PI controller with self-tuning function, the inverter controller observes the response of the controlled system to its correction, and then the PI controller performs self-learning, corrects parameters, and outputs control signals so that the system can quickly enter stable and precise operation.
Automatic energy optimization
As a standard feature, Automatic Energy Optimization (AEO) allows the motor to achieve the ideal magnetization at all speeds and loads. This improves energy efficiency by 5-15% under partial load.

Automatic resonance monitoring

temperature set point
Without the need for additional software, sensors or controllers, the VLT® HVAC Drive can calculate the actual room temperature from the pressure of the cooling medium and then adjust the compressor operation accordingly. This makes it possible to use less expensive pressure sensors.
Pipe Fill Mode
Pipe filling becomes a controllable process (closed loop). It can eliminate water hammer, burst pipes and water-air mixing in pipes.
End of working curve function detects pipeline ruptures and leaks
This function can detect pipeline rupture and leakage. When the pump runs at the end of the working curve, it will trigger the inverter to issue an alarm, stop the pump or execute other actions preset by the user.
Dry pump protection reduces maintenance costs
The VLT HVAC Drive continuously evaluates pump operation based on internal frequency/power measurements.
Standard Cascade Controller
The built-in cascade controller can control up to three pumps.
Motor rotation
The built-in logic control function can realize the rotation between two pumps in one use and one standby. The activation of a backup pump prevents the pumps from rusting, while a built-in timer ensures that each pump operates at approximately the same level of wear and tear.
Flow compensation
The flow compensation feature reduces the pressure set point based on flow, resulting in significant energy savings.
Start/stop speed step
The starting speed step can quickly accelerate the pump to the minimum value of the normal working speed range, avoiding the damage of bearings and mechanical seals caused by the pump running at low speed for a long time. Sensorless pressure and flow control
safety
The VLT HVAC Drive has the optional Safe Stop feature and meets the requirements for Category 3 installations in EN 954-1. This function prevents the drive from starting unexpectedly.
